Testimonials

We are so grateful to our amazing clients for sharing their experiences on Yelp and Google. Here’s a few that we are honored to share with you, as well as links to the rest:

I have been a practicing massage therapist for over 20 years so know and need good bodywork. I came in to the Myofascial Release Center to address chronic issues I’ve been having with my feet, legs, and hips. Frances is a master at what she does and worked on my body unlike anyone else has. She also sent me home with exercises to help address my issues based on our session. I highly recommend the center and this type of bodywork. Thank you Frances!! ~ (T.V. from Yelp)

The vibe here is warm and communal. Frances amazes me with her generosity and her passion for MFR and harnessing the focus of her clients to manifest their best lives. Affordable and community oriented, Frances leads the way with this group–and is constantly helping the rest of the staff to grow. I just love it here. And MFR is such an exciting and beneficial practice. My body loves to unwind through it. ~ (A.H.R. from Yelp)

I’m willing to try anything to feel better in my body: PT, shots, massage, acupuncture, acupressure, Reiki, yoga, pilates, stretch, and so on. All of those things have been great – temporarily. I’m a few months into myofascial treatments with Eric, and it’s no exaggeration to say I am feeling and seeing substantial positive results that get more profound with each session. The treatments are often relaxing and invigorating, sometimes a little uncomfortable, never painful. Eric is intuitive and a good listener who instantly establishes the healing as a collaborative effort. The icing on the cake for me is that I am now more aware of my body, so I attend to my posture, my gait, my sleep positions so that Eric’s work takes root in a broader sense of balance and wellness. The Center is clean, comfortable, well-appointed, homey. From my house, it’s a 30ish minute drive in the early morning. Free and ample street parking. There’s a cute bakery down the block for an after-session treat. This process has been powerful, and I’m grateful for Eric and MRC. ~ (D.B. from Yelp)

I have absolutely loved working with the team here at Myofascial Release Center. I am working with pain and discomfort in my chest and arms and have been through the ringer of doctors appointments and potentially scary diagnoses. Thankfully I was referred to Tabitha at MRC. It can be incredibly difficult to find a therapist that can work through nerve trauma in the chest area. I recommend this for anyone going through pre-and post op surgery for any kind of breast related procedures. It is incredibly beneficial and has relieved a considerable amount of issues. Last, you learn how to do specific breast massage that will help to keep things moving and mobile in this region. I truly can’t recommend enough! ~ (M.P. from Yelp)

I have been seeing Frances consistently for the last six months and I can’t recommend her enough. She is so knowledgeable about treating aches and pains, and emotions using myolfascia techniques. The body holds on to so much emotional stress and this is a definite way to work through things that your mind can’t process. I have also seen Tana and she is amazing as well. I think everyone could benefit from MFR! ~ (M.L. from Yelp)

Trevor is wonderful and very knowledgeable! He’s been helping me with tension headaches and my daughter with a knee injury from volleyball. I’d highly recommend him if you want to try another route other than what the doctors have to offer in western medicine. ~ (N.Y. from Yelp)

My body aches and pains have vastly improved after starting MFR! My therapist Kelley is kind, knowledgeable, considerate of my needs during each session, and is always flexible with my schedule. She’s also on top of new techniques so that our sessions are focused and yet varied enough to allow my body to grow with each session. I can’t recommend Kelley and the Myofascial Release Center enough! ~ (V.S. from Yelp)

I have been working with Tana for over a year now for nervous system regulation and emotional/trauma release. The work she does is FANTASTIC. When I came to her I was in really bad shape, and struggling to find anything that could help me to feel better. I tried everything. Working with Tana was the one thing that worked. I’m very picky with practitioners, yet I felt safe with her right away. I’m very grateful I found her. I call her my “somatic witch” because what she does really feels like magic :). ~ (A.M. from Yelp)

Thank you Olga!!! I have been limping for the past 3 weeks due to lower back pain. My condition has been improving, however, I could still not stand straight and had pain walking. My wife recommended I try this facia release treatment I never heard of, and I did. I am so happy I did! 2 hours now after my very first session with Olga I walk and stand straight! Pain is still there, but way less, and it is not impeding my walking. Thank you Olga and I will be seeing you again soon!!! ~ (O.U. from Google)

I have been working with Kelley Hughes on and off for a few years. she has been a huge help in targeting areas of tension in need of emotional healing. she uses a variety of sensory modalities and is very in tune. she provides a safe space to open up and express oneself. I would recommend her to anyone working through chronic pain, trauma, or simply who wants someone who is able to connect emotionally. ~ (E.S. from Yelp)

Eric Urpa is the first massage therapist that I have found who can help me manage my chronic pain condition. I have been seeing him for approximately two years. He is professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Eric has been well trained and he uses that knowledge, in addition to outside research, to support his clientele. The space he uses is clean, smells fresh without annoying scents that can irritate headaches, and well stocked. There are mfr tools one can purchase , but Erik never pressures me to purchase them. I highly recommend trying his services. ~ (J.A. from Yelp)

I’ve been seeing Kelley at the Myofascial release center for about three months, and the positive change I’ve experienced in range of movement has been wonderful. I had not heard of this form of treatment before, and not only was Kelley very helpful in explaining what to expect, she has an intuitive sense of what to focus on in our sessions that always leaves me feeling better and more flexible than when I arrive. As a bonus, I have also become much more in touch with what my body needs, and can now sense things that need attention that had escaped me before. Kelley keeps current with new techniques and give me simple things that I can do at home. Highly recommend! ~ (M.V. from Yelp)

This review is just for Tana – I’m sure the other practitioners are wonderful in their own way but I haven’t worked with them. MFR work with Tana is so much more than physical pain relief. She is a deeply intuitive person, who leads with care and safety, so you are always working in partnership on your own healing. Her work has helped me to listen to my nervous system and learn to self-regulate, leading to so much more autonomy, and relief in both my physical and mental wellness. If you’re looking for this kind of intuitive work surrounding the nervous system – Tana is AMAZING.~ (H.M. from Yelp)

Tana is a truly gifted healer. I wish I could gift all my loved ones a session with Tana. I’ve been seeing her for a few months and it’s easily the highlight of my week. She creates such a nurturing and deeply healing space. She is so skilled at working with trauma and finding ways for the body to release long held tension and energetic blocks. I always leave my session feeling a deep sense of wellbeing. Tana is wise, caring, and funny! Don’t think twice, try a session and see for yourself. ~ (N.R. from Yelp)

First timer here…saw Eric for inside knee pain that I’ve been experiencing for 3 months now. My body is tingling and my knees don’t burn. Going back for n a few days but I’m impressed already. I have a 10 year history of myofascial pain syndrome, which initially started from a repetitive motion injury in my lower back & then spread throughout the fascia of my body. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars with doctor appointments, acupuncture, physical, therapy, and other types of bodywork. Some would provide me with minor relief, but nothing that would last beyond a day or two. I was referred to Tom at the myofascial release center and he was able to relieve about 85% of the most painful areas in my body in under three months! I no doubt will continue to come here on a regular basis for maintenance and fast, pain relief results! UPDATE: Once again, Tom provides me with lasting relief! My psoas muscle constantly gives me trouble but I think we found the source today and I already feel better! Thanks Tom! UPDATE: My experience was so calming and relaxing today. Tom was great at listening to my body and I felt rejuvenated afterwards. ~ (N.B. from Yelp)

I’ve been coming to Myofascial Release Center and seeing Eric Ulpa for almost a year. Eric has helped tremendously in solving lower back pain and other long term injuries. I had previously tried chiropractors and doctors, without resolution. I attribute the improvements I’ve experienced to Eric’s work, as he is intuitive, knowledgeable, and patient. He knows exactly where to go, and over time, all of the pains and limitations in motion have been addressed. Setting up appointments is easy, and well worth the time and money. If you are reading this, take this as your sign to move forward. ~ (R.H. from Yelp)

I discovered the MFR Center when my chronic SI joint pain became unbearable and was significantly affecting my quality of life. Before coming here, I tried several treatments, including physical therapy, acupuncture, and trigger point injections in my lower back and hip, but nothing provided lasting relief. It felt like I had exhausted all options, and I was starting to lose hope.

Then I met Eric at MFR. After one session with him, I couldn’t believe the difference–I experienced a level of relief I hadn’t felt in years. Over the past six months of working with Eric, his techniques have truly transformed my body. His approach is not only highly skilled but also incredibly intuitive. He knows exactly how to target the root of the pain and release it in a way that no other treatment had achieved.

Eric’s kindness, deep knowledge, and calming presence make every session something I look forward to. He takes the time to understand my body’s specific needs, adjusting his techniques as needed to ensure I get the best results. I always leave feeling lighter, freer, and significantly better than when I walked in.

Thanks to Eric, I no longer suffer from the debilitating pain that once ruled my life. I’ve regained mobility in my SI joint and hip area, and my overall quality of life has improved dramatically. I can move freely again, without fear of pain holding me back. I’m so grateful to Eric and the MFR Center.~ (M.M. from Yelp)

I can not say enough about Tana. * She is a true healer * Over the last 6 months, she has helped me work through my physical ailments and my emotional challenges, which were contributing to my physical pain. I am amazed how much she has helped restore my body to the state I was in years ago, which I thought wasn’t possible anymore. She has helped me understand the mind-body connection and gives me homework on how to deal with emotional stressors so they don’t manifest in my body physically. Meeting Tana has truly been a blessing. She works on the mind, body and soul and I recommend her whole heartedly to anyone dealing with trauma and chronic pain. ~ (M.T. from Yelp)

I am a frequent flyer when it comes to body work and massage in general. I’ve been receiving MFR from Tana for several months and she’s my favorite ever. I really love how she includes the whole you, including emotions, energy and the nervous system. She’s intuitive, caring, smart and funny…. If you’re looking for ways to release tension, especially if you’re looking for trauma informed care, Tana is the way to go. I recommend MFR Center to anyone I care about. I’ve sent several friends and colleagues already. If you’re in pain, do yourself a favor check this place out! ~ (C.P. from Yelp)

I’ve been seeing Tom Hambright twice monthly for over 5 years. I have a lot areas in pain due to the physical nature of my work, but Tom skillfully finds and releases the fascial restrictions and trigger points causing my pain. Not only does Tom care about my physical pain, but he also genuinely cares about my emotional and mental well-being. He listens to me vent, provides advice, and sometimes just chit-chats with me, depending on my mood. I always leave every session feeling so much better and looking forward to the next! I highly recommend Tom! ~ (C.P. from Yelp)

Working with Tana has changed my life. I was hesitant with myofascial release because after years of suppressed trauma, I was afraid of being in my own body. Tana is an incredible light and is so thoughtful with her care. She is helping release emotions I didn’t know I was even carrying. She always checks in with how the therapy is landing and puts in as much effort as you do. She is helping me get to the woman I am meant to be. I can’t imagine my healing journey without her. ~ (H.R. from Yelp)

Eric is amazing-I have seen him 3-4 times, it’s pricey but worth it. He has truly healed my body and I get clarity afterward, I feel better mentally and physically. I try to get stretched every 3-4 weeks-he has grounded me-his method has helped chronic neck pain, tight quadriceps and today I cannot wait for him to work on my hips. This guy is passionate, knowledgeable and truly wants to help you. try him, you won’t regret it. This is so much more effective than traditional massage if you have chronic tightness etc.! ~ (J.T. from Yelp)

I’ve been seeing Tana Gaudi for about a year now and she has been absolutely integral to my healing on so many levels! I HIGHLY recommend her and MFR Center for anyone who’s in pain and desperate to feel better!! I started seeing her due to chronic lower back and pelvic pain and to assist with emotional trauma release. With her, I’ve learned that I have an anterior pelvic tilt that’s developed over the years from bad posture and sitting at a work desk all day, leading to issues with my psoas, piriformis, anterior superior iliac spine, quad and glute muscles, causing compression and stiffness/pain in the back, hip flexors, and other muscle group/joint areas. She’s also helping me break up the fibrous scarring and adhesions from my c-section that was contributing to the pelvic pain (seriously, if you get a c-section don’t put off MFR/PT to help your ab and pelvic muscles/tissues heal well!!!). She’s taught me so much about my body, from the names and locations of muscles and tendons and how they function/dysfunction, where different types of emotions might get stuck and manifest problems, stretches and exercises that can be done at home or work without any fancy props (although they do have stuff to purchase if needed– their plastic balls are great for trigger points!), and she even gives me a “prescription” at the end of our sessions, a.k.a. a bullet-pointed list of important info we discussed and other recommendations that I can follow up on. She’s truly a wealth of info, and she still attends various seminars and trainings throughout the year to further her therapy practice. She’s firm yet gentle with her hands, and I’ve gone from barely being able to lay down and sit up on my own or turning over without excruciating pain, to having much better freedom of movement with hardly any pain or stiffness. I’ve come such a long way in the time I’ve been seeing her; I know I still have more to do to become completely free of pain, but she’s taken me farther than anyone else, including a spine physician and chiropractic doctor I was previously seeing. The rooms at MFR Center are private, comfortable and gently lit, the massage tables cushy with the option of heat and pillows. She puts on some quiet, relaxing music in the background and we get to work. I’ve laughed, cried, and expressed everything in-between; with Tana it’s a no-judgement zone built on a foundation of professionalism. She truly cares so deeply for her clients and their wellbeing and is always down-to-earth and supportive of your needs. I haven’t worked with the other therapists at the office but have seen them in passing, and everyone has always been friendly and kind. A mask isn’t required, but Tana is supportive of my desire to wear one and will also wear one during our visits, which I respect and appreciate especially during the COVID pandemic. There’s free parking on the street in front of the building, but be sure to curb your wheels correctly, otherwise you’re guaranteed to get a parking ticket. Her prices are extremely fair, she’s responsive with texts and follows up after appts to make sure I’m doing ok, and I’ve rarely had any issue with scheduling her in a time slot that works best for me (I see her on the weekends). Thank you so much Tana for empowering me and helping me to feel comfortable in my body again! You are AMAZING!! ~ S.W. (from Yelp)

Wow, Tom is fantastic! I’ve had lingering heel and foot pain for almost a year and he was able to help abolish it by the end of the session. Time with Tana is a gift. When I’m struggling with a dysregulated nervous system, chronic pain condition, severe adrenal fatigue, and now mold illness, feeling at ease in my body is far from easy. Within our first hour together, Tana acknowledged my health and medical trauma in such a way that I felt heard, understood, and cared for. True compassion. For decades, I’ve been going to various bodywork practitioners: chiropractors, masseuses, myofascial release therapists, and physical therapists. Most worked on my body, doing things to me, rather than working with my body and with me. For so many struggling with chronic conditions, the last place we want to be is in our bodies, so we shut down, disown it, and just hope someone else can fix it. Tana creates a supportive and safe healing environment, and she does this by partnering with you- asking permission, checking in, asking questions, presenting options, offering creative cues and visualizations, and somehow, she does this heavy, somatic work all while being totally cool and fun. Every session is different, uniquely tailored to what you need in that moment. Tana made me realize that no amount of massage is going to heal my nervous system; it needs my buy-in, and it needs my full participation, especially in my day to day life. I need to get back into my body so it can heal, and I couldn’t do that without her. For years, this felt impossible, but I’m starting to feel more connected to my body, and now, I recognize how I’ve been pushing myself, pushing through pain, and pushing past my body’s warning signs. Even on my hardest days, I know the day I see Tana will be a good day. I should also mention I drive over an hour to see her. I’d take a plane if I had to. ~ K.K. (from Yelp)

Looka here… I told Tana yesterday…I want to shout this from the mountain tops, but I guess in 2022, Yelp is the closest thing to that I’m gonna get. If you, like me, have a lot of pain in your body either from old accidents, repeated ankle rolling, carrying extra body weight (knees, back) , tension, poor posture, the rigors of sitting staring at a computer screen or phone screen (neck/shoulder pain), sitting too much (hips), anxiety, etc., WHATEVER pain you carry in your body… if you, like me, had been to doctor after doctor after doctor, frustrated because they couldn’t diagnose anything but you know the pain you’re feeling constantly? Maybe like me you tried to self medicate (cannabis, cbd, etc.,) or think it would all miraculously disappear by getting a brand new expensive mattress only to find that the bed was comfy & it didn’t cause pain, but it also did not eliminate pain. Maybe like me you also have had numerous massages (which relaxed me on the table but I still always left in pain), or maybe tried acupuncture (which in all fairness did help some but was never lasting)….TRY THIS PLACE AND DO YOUR WHOLE BODY AND LIFE THE BEST FAVOR EVER AND TRY MYOFASCIAL RELEASE THERAPY!!!!! This therapy is really changing my life in more ways than one! 1. Tana is amazing! She gave me lots of information up front before I even booked an appointment so I knew exactly what to expect! (This is NOT your traditional Swedish or deep tissue massage) and I don’t MISS the massage element! Because I leave every single appointment with Tana (just had my 3rd appointment yesterday) feeling better in my body. Tana is thorough, she takes time to assess your body, any unevenness, and takes time to listen to what you’re experiencing. Tana is gentle, friendly, puts you at ease and knows what the heck she is doing!!! Tana encourages communication so she knows where you’re feeling pressure or pain and how to approach releasing it. Trust that she knows what she is doing. You may feel pain in your body in a certain spot and she may start at a different place because she knows what’s causing and impacting that spot that needs attention before the actual area you feel pain. Do not take this as neglect or that she doesn’t know what she’s doing, she is tending gently to your body so as not to worsen your current pain, while strategically working to alleviate what’s impacting it. Trust the process. So that’s number 1. Tana is amazing! Number 2. This whole process has helped and IS helping me become more in tune with my body. I’ve always heard people talk about themselves in such a way that they could tell you down to a T what things or circumstances trigger responses in their body whether it was weather, menstrual cycles, certain foods, etc., and I’d be like… “Wow, they really know their body.” I on the other hand have always been challenged at taking time to pay attention to obvious things that could be staring me right in the face, including putting 2 and 2 together when it came to things I experienced in my body. Because I’m overweight, a lot of times I do my body the disservice of not listening to it because I just chalk it up to, “Well Patricia, that’s what you get…that’s what happens when you’re this fat! Deal with it.” But what I’m learning is, that’s NOT always the case. And even if it is, your body is STILL trying to tell you something and it deserves to be listened to. The work that Tana is doing is helping me become more aware, more intentional, and more in tune to paying attention to what’s happening in my body. And it’s truly a blessing and a God send! I’m feeling less and less pain between appointments that I was so accustomed to feeling on an almost daily basis…for YEARS! I’m more mindful of simple things to do to avoid and alleviate those pains. And I remember after my first appointment where Tana really focused on my upper AND lower back, I walked out of there literally walking taller. My whole back had loosened up and it didn’t hurt to walk. But with Myofascial Release Therapy it is a lasting relief and I’m so truly grateful to have discovered this type of therapy and Tana who has been a true blessing to my body as I focus on healing completely (including losing the weight ). BOTTOM LINE…do yourself a favor and discover this for yourself! Read all about what the fascia is, and ask your therapist to describe what they do before you go so you know what to expect. Then go and let them do what they do. It is still very relaxing overall, and you will leave thanking yourself that you branched out to try something different. Trust me, this therapy is the diamond in the rough that nobody is talking about because more people deserve to discover it!!! THANK YOU TANA!!! And thank you MFR Center of Glendale! You ate literally changing my life!!! ~ T.O. (from Yelp)

I have been a Montrose resident for all my life and never knew that this center was here. After a coworker of mine told me about this place and that she was going to try it for the first time for her foot and hip pain, I decided to look into it to see if it could offer me some relief from a number of problems I’ve been dealing with for years. I was contacted almost immediately after I had sent an email to inquire and was directed to a therapist that would best suit my needs. I had my first session with Eric, and I have to say that when I finished that session, I immediately felt relief, it was amazing. I experience constant pain and tightness in my back, neck, and shoulders and suffer from fibromyalgia. After just about 2 weeks of treatments, I am so impressed by how my body is responding and how great I feel. It is a major improvement. When I leave my sessions, I am relaxed, so full of hope and happiness, it just uplifts me entirely! Definitely something that is showing to be very necessary for myself and body health that I want to keep up with. Eric does a wonderful job making me feel comfortable and always applying the right amount of pressure. I can’t say enough good things about Myofascial Release Center and my therapist Eric!! Even referred a friend and after her first session she was raving about her great experience and instant release. Highly recommend!! ~ R.C. (from Yelp)

I highly recommended The Myofascial Release Center. I have been having foot pain since November 2021 and was frustrated by not finding relief. I asked a friend who I know had sports injuries. She recommended I look into The Myofascial Release center? I had never heard of it and it was so close to my work and home. She highly recommended Trevor! It was super easy to book an appointment online on a day that worked for me. I love having massages and always feel relaxed but never felt relief of my aches and pains. After my first appointment I felt relief and learned that the tightness and knots in my body was the cause of my neck, hip, leg and foot pain. After a series of sessions I’m getting close to feeling normal and back to feeling great while exercising. Trevor works magic. I will be visiting on a regular basis for maintenance. Can’t recommend this method and Trevor enough. ~ K.K. (from Yelp)

I’ve suffered for 12 years with Scar Tissue/Adhesions and Twisted Fascia all over my flank and abdomen with severe daily pain on my right flank, back and abdomen…. No mobility on the right side at all!!
Doctors have looked at me like I’m crazy, denied me surgeries and prescribed pain and depression meds…. I saw Tom yesterday for Myofascial Release and had immediate comfort and less pain… I was able to sit with good posture, use my right side and woke up this morning with more mobility!!!
He also was very knowledgeable and completely understood my pain and gave me and my husband specific instructions how to keep it up at home. I will definitely be back with Tom!! ~ A.P. (from Google)

I renamed MFR: Magical Fabulous Release or Magical Freedom Releases… I have received treatments from 2009 until August 2012 when I moved to the central coast a month ago. I had only one worry. Will I find a replacement for Frances and her team? We addressed so many issues I had in my body due to accidents and stress and over exercising for many years. Even some issues I have had all my life in my hips. MFR is like a new freedom for my body. I would recommend MFR to anyone and especially Frances and her Team in Montrose. You rock guys. I miss you. ~ S.C. (from Yelp)

MFR has simply changed my life ! I began seeing Frances in February 2013 and saw results from my first session. I sufffer from a neuro-muscular disorder and have dealt with pain , inflexability and spasms for the past 20 years. I sought out MFR looking for something that was not just a feel-good massage but would actually help realign my body. In addition I needed someone to show me how I could get myself out of a spasm when one began. I am now generally pain free ! The good effects of my first treatment lasted three days, the second treatment for five days and after that, I began to feel comfortable on a regular basis, something I was not used to. My illness causes me to have reduced range of motion which has now greatly increased. I no longer clench my teeth nor need to see my chiropracter. An added bonus was it also got rid of recurring headaces that I suffered from due to extreme muscle tension.I can’t recommend MFR strongly enough. Even when I was sufffereing from what seemed like an ongoing bladder issue and antibiotics were not helping, my bladder problem was eased by Frances’s MFR treatment by taking the pressure off my bladder and tail bone, which was what was causing the problem. I consider MFR the most important component of my wellness program. ~ P.C. (from Yelp)

I have massages in the past but MFR is very different. I would describe it more like being in-between massage and physical therapy. I have had problems in my hips for a while and I came the Center on a Fascia Friday with Lara and Tom and WOW!!! They are very intuitive but still checked in with me to make sure they were still in the right places…and they were. My hips felt remarkably better and I can’t wait to see Lara and/or Tom again. This type of treatment is amazing and again the therapists Lara and Tom were phenomenal!!! If your suffering from chronic pain or recovering from injuries or just need to get some kinks out this is the place to go. ~ G.C. (from Yelp)

Cannot say enough good things about this place, especially Michelle. I’ve had neck issues for decades, going back to my delusion that I could carry a load on my head like I’ve seen in movies and National Geographic. Hint: Don’t try it! Anyway, she fixed it. Done what no chiropractor could. I’m so grateful. My knees, bothering me for years, not completely fixed but definitely better. And MFR is just a lovely relaxing way to spend an hour. Think of it as like a massage, only longer lasting. ~ C.R. (from Yelp)

Tabitha was a super awesome and amazing therapist.  I am sooooo happy that I feel there is hope to end my chronic pain in my hip.  She was soft spoken and well informed.  She was patient, kind and talked with me continually through the whole process always explaining every step.  Tabitha is someone I would recommend to everyone. I am so grateful that I was referred to this therapy as I have tried traditional therapy a few times, chiropractic care, acupuncture and just exercise.  This is a true blessing!! ~ L.A. (from Yelp)

After 2 1/5 years of various chiropractors, orthopedics and physical therapy with no improvement to an ankle/leg injury I decided to try Myofascia Releases Therapy.  In one visit I felt my body realigning and the tension and knots loosening a bit.  Tom was my therapist and he was excellent at pin pointing exactly what was going.  He listened as I explained my journey and he did several tests before started.  I have hope after one visit that I’m on the right path to recovery. I’m moving better and feel a bit lighter.   I’m looking forward to continuing my therapy with Tom! ~ C.M. (from Yelp)

Great group here. I have worked with both Michelle and Tom, both great practitioners, even though very different styles. My husband has worked with Michelle and Tabitha. We both have benefited tremendously from the myofacial therapy we have been receiving here after we were passengers in an auto accident. Makes a world of difference, in a wonderful way! Highly recommend! ~ A.K. (from Yelp)

I have had 3 sessions with Frances, and she is the best. I am now a big believer in MFR. My hip, knee, foot, shoulder pain have significantly decreased because of her. my whole body is super light and flexible too. Any other massage is a waste of your time and money. She is also very knowledgable about any health related question you might have. I have asked her a lot, and every time her answer is spot on. She also took extra effort to squeeze in and treat my mom who was visiting the area. My mom has had significant pain in her right leg and she saw a lot of therapists with little or no effect. Frances improved her condition significantly with just one session. I guarantee you will be blown away by her. Book the appointment now, just don’t take my spot at 745 pm. Haha. – E.J. (from Yelp)

MFR is one of the best things I’ve ever done, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I can’t recommend it–and Frances–more highly. I started having horrible back and sciatica pain while recovering from a broken ankle due to a herniated disc. Deep tissue and Swedish massage only helped temporarily. I discovered the MFR Center on Yelp, thinking it could be helpful for pain management. Frances has a magical, nuanced understanding of the body and can tune into what really needs healing. Since we physically hold on to emotional pain and trauma, she helps you talk throughout the process to help identify–and ultimately release–that pain. I’ve only been to 5-6 sessions, but Frances has been just as instrumental–perhaps more so–than 5+ years of talk therapy. I’m not denigrating talk therapy by any means…I think it’s incredibly useful and impactful. But MFR literally gets to the root of the problem(s). I’ve felt greater confidence, openness and clarity in the last couple months since I started MFR. Plus, Frances shows how you can self-administer MFR at home. Not only has my pain has significantly diminished, but I’ve become much more aware of the relationship between emotions and physicality. If you’re interested in exploring this relationship and/or conscientious about healing, go see Frances, STAT! – J.E. (from Yelp)

I had my first full on Myofascial Release session here, getting worked on by 2 therapists during their super affordable Fascia Fridays. I was in awe of the technique, the way they held a very love filled space for me and their gentle guidance. Booking an appointment is painless through their website, which also sends out a reminder email and text message. ~ J.L. (from Yelp)

I discovered the MFR Center in Montrose during an illness in 2008 where I experienced severe pain throughout my body and was unable to work. After several months of PT with little overall improvement trigger point and myofascial release therapy was suggested by a friend and I began treatment with Frances Nicolais, the MFR Center director. I had a steady improvement in symptoms and along with integrative treatment recovered fully and returned to work! I continue regular visits to maintain fluid mobility and alignment and highly recommend the Center. I have referred several friends and family members, who have all had very positive results, and Fascia Fridays are an ideal introduction and great offer. – L.C. (from Yelp)

This is a small yet tranquil and private office and the staff here are wonderful. I have had two treatments at their Fascia Fridays: once with a single therapist and once with two therapists. Both were great treatments and I especially recommend the double therapist experience. I found it to be double the intensity of the single therapist session. If you are unfamiliar with John F. Barnes style myofascial release, it is a powerful healing tool that initiates the body’s natural inclination towards sel-correction and “unwinding.” I find it more powerful, and healing on a deeper level, than I do massage. The staff here are all very experienced and understand that emotional release can be a part of the healing process. They provide a safe container for any emotional release that may occur. Fascia Fridays are an incredible value too. Highly recommended for anyone interested in releasing physical and/or emotional trauma held within the body. ~ B.R. (from Yelp)
